Spiral
Coil Binding Machines
Coil binding
machines are sometimes referred to as spiral binding machines,
and are the most popular types of bookbinding. Companies are
upgrading to coil binding machines from their old comb binding
machines.
Coil is more
secure, and allows books to lay flat for easier reading and
copying. Coil binding is more durable than other types of
binding and is great for booklets that must be sent the mail.
Binding
Machines Australia sells binding equipment in both manual and
electric models. If you require help choosing the right
binding machine for you please contact us by phone, fax or
email.
Pages are
punched with round holes, the coil is then inserted into the
first few holes by hand and then can be either spun through the
booklet with an electric coil inserter or by hand. After the
coil is inserted you use a coil crimper to secure the coil and
stop it from unwinding.
